Will You Pray For My Puppy?
If the humans get tired of me I guess I could try my hand as a pet Chaplain. Just what the world needs, somone who specializes in the spiritual needs of animals.

I need to find a pet chaplain for Genevieve.
OK - When I first clicked on it, I expected to read about a chaplain who hangs out at the Vet to comfort families who are having their pet put down or who have lost their companion animal. I get that.
As a dog person, I also get the desire to comfort animals in distress. But laying on hands and anointing with oil? Last Rites? This lady's nuts. She obviously doesn't know that all dogs go to heaven.
I may look into that ordination from Stone Mtn, GA..

I agree that laying on hands and annointing is a little "fringe", but there really are Animal Chaplains out there who comfort the bereaved pet owners, sit with families while their pet is in surgery, helping people decide about euthanasia, and offering a dignified memorial service for pets.
